[ Photo: Coquitlam Adanacs Facebook] The Coquitlam Adanacs winning the B.C. Junior A championship again is an example of their dedication to excellence, but is this dominance in B.C. and other provinces good for the overall health of lacrosse?  Another summer of Canadian lacrosse has come down to the nitty-gritty as we get closer to crowning our champions. Again we saw the flurry of activity just before the playoffs by teams with hierarchy shuffling their decks by raiding the rosters of their lesser competitors. The lacrosse world seems like it’s going through tumultuous times with the upheaval of separate entities all within the cluster of about a year. In print and in discussion I’ve seen countless sources lament what a bad year it has been for Canadian lacrosse and the black eyes we are wearing.

The Coquitlam Adanacs are the 2016 Minto Cup champions. A standout performance from goaltender Christian Del Bianco, who was named tournament MVP, helped guide them to a 6-5 overtime victory over the Orangeville Northmen in the deciding game of the best-of-five series.  Del Bianco, who played in the professional ranks with the NLL's Calgary Roughnecks this year, was far and above the best player on the floor. He turned away 60 shots and finished the tournament with a 5.49 GAA and .891 SV%.  While he made some unbelievable saves, his most talked about play will surely be the floor length shot that barely...
